Is anyone else having trouble feeling ANY pelvic floor contractions whatsoever when using their K-Fit Kegel Toner? I’ve tried EVERY program, with the mA set at the HIGHEST setting (99), and no matter how low or high up I place the probe, I feel nothing but a prickly feeling! So disappointing!!

Thank you, Aimee. I have been doing manual kegels long enough to differentiate between engaging just my pelvic floor muscles vs. including my anus or perineum, and can contract and pulse (only) my pelvic floor muscles quite well. I purchased the K-Fit Kegel Toner thinking it would tighten my vaginal walls even more than doing manual kegels, but I feel no contraction whatsoever when using the unit, so I wanted to know if anyone else is having the same issue.
Internal sensation is very different from external sensation and can be difficult to perceive. A true kegel is a very deep contraction that does not engage the anus or perineum the way that a manual kegel does when we tighten up everything in our attempt to net the pelvic floor as well. A good program to use when you want to feel each individual contraction is to use P01 with the probe at a shallow depth. Just make sure that the metal panels are not exposed outside the vaginal canal. A shallow insertion will keep the electrode panels closer to the more enervated vulva. I know it can be difficult to believe when it doesn’t feel the way you expect it to feel, but your toner is causing strong contractions if the mA’s are being raised to their maximum setting on a strong program. You can see an example of the muscle contractions happening internally by doing a palm test. Set your toner to P01 and increase the mA’s to about 3. Next, press one metal panel to the pad of muscle at the base of your thumb then press the pad below your other thumb to the second panel. You will be able to see the muscle there twitch with each electric pulse. The vaginal canal has very low sensation, but it is still a muscular tube. Sending electrical current into these muscles will force them to contract. K-fit is used in physical therapy offices and has countless success stories from consistent users. Just don’t give up! Use your toner every day to receive the real benefit of your machine, and trust the science behind its design.
